Hawaii has been on my bucket list since I read, “Island of the Blue Dolphins” by Scott O’Dell at ten years old. I’d always hoped of one day swimming with and befriending wild dolphins. A lot of girls love horses growing up, I loved dolphins.
What I didn’t realize then was that not just anything would happen, but a life altering adventure awaited me. And yes, it included wild dolphins.
Location Notes: Breakfast was served at Island Lava Java, located right in downtown Kona. Come here for an amazing ocean view (sunsets and sometimes dolphins!), killer coffee and food so fresh you can taste the Island mana. Serving breakfast to dinner, it’s a favourite spot for us to start and end the day.
